In a move which could affect 300,000 Canadians, the Hong Kong government has signaled it will overhaul its extradition rules, making it easier for people to be transferred between mainland China, Macau and Taiwan for the first time.

Critics fear the changes would allow the regime in China to take more political prisoners.
