How will Canadians fill the void - and should the government intervene? A fresh poll by Angus Reid in the wake of the axing of Greyhound in Western Canada shows 60% of Canadians surveyed support a federally funded bus service, while 64% back a provincially funded system.

But four-in-ten Canadians hope it doesn’t come to that, instead, they’d like to see a private company fill the gaps in service, a move Transport Minister Claire Trevena has said she hopes becomes reality.
