Over the past six weeks, hostility toward the Alberta independence movement has escalated dramatically. What started as insults has grown into veiled threats, open threats, and now people getting out of their vehicles looking ready to cross the line into physical confrontation.
In this video, I show the evidence.
The question is: what comes next. With months to go before the fall referendum question, tensions on the pro‑Canada side are rising fast, and it feels inevitable that someone is going to go too far.
The independence movement needs to get ahead of this. Anyone who crosses a legal boundary—threats, intimidation, blocking vehicles—should be reported and held accountable. That’s the only way to stop this from spiraling.
To my friends in the independence movement: stay calm, stay disciplined, and don’t take the bait. Keep your camera rolling, document everything, and report anyone who tries to threaten or obstruct you. Be the adult in the room.
