CANCELLING CANCEL -2 Cor. 5- 20-21--20 Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us- we implore you on Christ's behalf, be reconciled to God. 21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.---1. The Speaker - Christ's Ambassador--Jesus' message to you- --Be reconciled to God. For He made Me who knew no sin to be sin for you, that you might become the righteousness of God in Him.---2. The Problem - A Broken Relationship--'Be reconciled to God'---You have a relationship with God.--Your relationship with God is broken.---3. The Cause - Sin--'to be sin for you'---Your sin.--Representative sin.--Original sin.--Actual sin. ----4. The Solution - Jesus Christ--'For He made Me who knew no sin to be sin for you'---You have no ability.--You have no power.--You have no fitness.--Your mediator - Jesus Christ.--I am sent by God.--I am your substitute.--You transferred your sins to Me.--I cancelled your sins.--I appeased God's anger.--'that you might become the righteousness of God in Him'---Perfect obedience in my life.--Perfect obedience in my death.--My Perfect righteousness.--I transferred to you My perfect righteousness. --I healed your broken relationship with God.---5. Your Duty - Believe--'I implore you on Christ's behalf'---Seek reconciliation with God.--Trust Jesus to reconcile you to God.
