Healing Family, tonight we’re going deeper into Week 2: Walking in Truth and asking a question that may uncover more than we expect:
Who told you that you were too much?
Who taught you that love had to be earned?
Who taught you that disagreement meant rejection?
Who taught you that asking for help made you weak?
Who taught you that boundaries made you selfish?
Who taught you that one mistake meant you were a failure?
And underneath all of those questions:
Sometimes nobody ever spoke the exact words over us.
But rejection taught us.
Betrayal taught us.
Abandonment taught us.
Instability taught us.
Survival taught us.
And after repeating those lessons for years, they can begin sounding less like something we learned and more like something that is simply true.
But Healing Family:
✨ Familiar does not automatically mean true.
📖 John 8:32 KJV
“And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
📖 Genesis 3:11 KJV
“…Who told thee…?”
Tonight we’re talking about:
🌿 How pain can become a teacher
🌿 Why familiarity can masquerade as truth
🌿 How someone else’s voice can eventually become our own inner language
🌿 The difference between what happened and what we decided it meant
🌿 Boundaries, rejection, overexplaining, control, trust, and survival
🌿 And our Truth Inventory
Tonight I want you to ask yourself:
💗 What happened?
💗 What did I start believing because it happened?
💗 What does God say that I now need to consider?
We are not rewriting our history.
And this episode gets personal for me too, because I’m sharing what I’ve had to learn about noticing changes, interpreting tone and behavior, overthinking, and creating space between what I noticed and what I concluded.
One of the truths I’m carrying with me is:
Healing Family, you can acknowledge what hurt you without continuing to let what hurt you define you.
You can understand why you learned the story without continuing to live according to it.
And if God never said it…
we have to stop treating it like He did. 🙏🏾🔥

Healing • Hope • Faith • Purpose
✨ My heart is open. My hands are open. My life is open. Lord… Have Your way.
🦋 We’re not just learning it. We’re living it.
Who told you that? Did God say that? We are allowing God to correct the meaning we attached to it. Noticing something and knowing what it means are two different things.
