In part two of this episode, I am continuing the conversation with Dr. Patrice Martin, a mother of 3, who shares her journey of being a single mom twice over.

Her journey is one that I like to think is unique, having been married twice, with one marriage ending in divorce and the second marriage, unfortunately, ending as a result of the passing of her husband.   

Dr. Patrice talks about feeling as if she was a single parent during the time when her 2nd husband was sick, and her continued process of grieving while raising her now 2-year-old daughter.  I encourage you to take a listen and please comment your thoughts on this particular episode!

In part one of this episode, I had the pleasure of speaking with Dr. Patrice Martin, a mother of 3, who shares her journey of being a single mom twice over.

We discussed her thoughts on the perception of a single mom, and some of her specific challenges in raising her now-adult sons, to now raising her 5-year-old daughter.   Her journey of single parenthood is a unique one and her overall outlook of where she is in this journey is a testament to the faith that she has in God.

I was so excited that my childhood friend Lateria agreed to come on the show and talk about her journey as a single mom.  In this episode, Lateria shares her journey of single motherhood at the young age of 18, her thoughts on being called a single mom, and some of the struggles/challenges that she went through.
