It's one thing to watch these films thinking "here's a scary movie, so it better scare me". However, when stories like these speak so eloquently to social injustices, systemic racism, and true human horror in such a sophisticated and viscerally affecting way, we hope that movie-goers take more than what is at face value and learn a bit about themselves and what part they play in the World around them.
