Our first ever Hurricanes Shovel of the Month goes to 20-year old Andrei Svechnikov.
The third-year Russian winger tallied 4 goals, 2 assists and a +2 rating in just 5 games. Svech digs in every game for the Canes so it's no surprise that the budding superstar earned the honor. We have a feeling this is the first of many shovels that young Svech will take home.
