Today's Daily Dose is partly brought to you by
Welcome back everyone to another episode broadcasting live from Los Angeles I'm your host Mike and every week I bring you news info that may effect you and alternative products that can bring a little comfort to your life.
This week we are covering cannabis legalization, the industry has been moving rapidly towards some form of legalization in every state across the union, there have been numerous bills proposed to congress to decriminalize cannabis federally and in todays article we see Amazon has also taken a thorough interest in cannabis law reform.
My biggest concern with these aggressive proposals is why now, we have had years of medical laws including 40+ states who have enacted medical laws within the union. Perhaps it was time to make a change but to me I question why has it been a priority now after years of neglect. I understand the reasons provided and the many positive outcomes that has been touted by government agencies and their representatives but as I weigh both sides of the store I can't help but clearly see that it can also have negative impacts on everyday people like you and I who are general consumers.
The tax revenue is also something I question, where will that be spent or allocated towards, from what we have heard from these proposed bills they suggest they would be used for positive social programs as well as infrastructure plans but as I mentioned in the podcast we have seen misappropriation of tax dollars for a long time and I can't bring myself to just believe what I'm told.
