On this episode, we are joined by Professor Daniel Bear. Prof. Daniel Bear has a PhD and MSc in Social Policy from The London School of Economics and Political Science. His doctoral work at the LSE focused on the role of drugs in the policing practices of street-level officers in community policing teams. He completed his undergraduate work in Sociology  at The University of California at Santa Cruz. Before starting graduate school Daniel worked for three years with the American Civil Liberties Union, the largest civil rights law firm in the US. He has conducted research on many areas of the criminal justice system, but is primarily focused the issues of drugs policy and drugs policing.
