Despite not being able to skip the sad part in the aftermath of a break up with someone we really care about, perhaps we can sometimes circumvent some of the confusion, disbelief and anger we may  experience.  I share a perspective, then answer a question about what to do when you are given your partner's phone and they receive a text message from "someone else."
