The Washington Capitals are set to take on the New York Rangers, hoping for a better outcome than last season's sweep. The lineup will see Mike Sgarbossa take over as third-line center due to Hendrix Lapierre being a healthy scratch after struggling without a point in his first seven games. Coach Spencer Carbery believes this break will help Lapierre reset mentally.
