Captain Dunn - Phoenix Rising

Hope is that I can just do interviews. I start with the question, "What's it like growing up ?" We can go into further discussion from there. But it's all about RISING up. I won't pull punches, I'll demand answers.

In this episode, I tap into over 34 years of experience and talk Self and Home Defense. Paying some of those taxpayer dollars back,, I use my infantry and small arms weapons instruction experience to talk use of firearms in defense (and talk a little non-lethal options too). Then, I use my knowledge of analyzing and securing military bases to talk home defense BEFORE you may need to defend yourself. Hopefully it gives insight and help as crazy as things have gotten to be now!

Welcome back! Today's episode, a promise is made good and we talk horses! There is a very therapeutic world when it comes to the big equine beasts, and I share my experiences growing up and learning about them. I also geek out again and talk about "Entering THE Warzone:" the Call of Duty world of online play against others, or as I call it, "adult Fortnite."

I'm a little late, but I wanted to take a little time to wish a Happy Birthday to all those Devil Dogs out there...the SCARIEST fighting force in the world, and also wanted to say Happy Veteran's Day to all my brothers and sisters in arms!

As a much needed break from all the shit show of the election, I talk about something that has always brought me cheer and comfort: dogs! Basically, I go over my years of experience with dogs (something like 30+ cumulative years) working with them, owning them, training service dogs for veterans and the responsibilities involved with dogs.

In this episode we discuss the latest in the election, what with Old Joe claiming victory (even though its only the media that has done so and NOT the official systems outlined in the US Constitution). Then, getting away from all that hot mess, we get our geek on and I count down what I personally feel are the 5 best ships in SciFi, aka which ships I would want to be captain of if life was a SciFi TV show or movie.

Start off on the initial episode with SOME talk about politics and the election, as well as teaching my son civics with a ballot, but only a little. More importantly, what I’ve wanted to get out there is Traumatic Brain Injury awareness, so I discuss my experience of late, post-concussion. I also have to give a Thank You shout out to Kirstie Alley for giving me a a means to do this, and (I forgot in the episode) to say congrats! On your new podcast! Love it!
