Often the peace we seek at Christmastime is simply the reduction of chaos and noise in our lives and circumstances. However, the peace God offers is SO much more. It's the ceasing of striving and pining in our lives. It's the assurance that comes when we allow Jesus to be the prince (or captain) of our peace. Coming under His authority is when we experience the peace that goes beyond human understanding.
