When Carbondale-based entrepreneur and philanthropist Jim Calaway died this week at age 87, he left behind a strong legacy of support and friendship in the Roaring Fork Valley. Last year, Calaway spoke at length with Steve Skinner on the podcast Echoes about his humble roots, how he made his fortune, and why he decided to give almost all of it away to causes in which he believes.
