My main obstacle was my mother, a beautiful actress who was not at all loving or maternal to me. Like all good survivors I found substitutes in other women who filled the role of mother in my life. I have written portraits of several of them who were important to me.

Cardinal Days is an engaging story of a girl from a successful family in New York City who grew up in a challenging environment with a demanding
mother. She had a variety of interesting experiences and adventures in several locations. Her two years at school in Switzerland when a young teenager seemed to establish a confidence to cope and she ultimately makes the transition to adulthood with some bumps along the way. It's well written and delightful to read.
