Love Our family

Luke 2:34-35 34 Then Simeon blessed them and said to Mary, his mother: “This child is destined to cause the falling and rising of many in Israel, and to be a sign that will be spoken against, 35 so that the thoughts of many hearts will be revealed. And a sword will pierce your own soul too.”

Ex. 20:12 12 “Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is giving you.

1 Tim. 5:3-4 3 Give proper recognition to those widows who are really in need. 4 But if a widow has children or grandchildren, these should learn first of all to put their religion into practice by caring for their own family and so repaying their parents and grandparents, for this is pleasing to God.

1 Tim. 5:8 Anyone who does not provide for their relatives, and especially for their own household, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.

Love Believers as Family

1 Tim. 5:1-2 5 Do not rebuke an older man harshly, but exhort him as if he were your father. Treat younger men as brothers, 2 older women as mothers, and younger women as sisters, with absolute purity.

Romans 12:10 10 Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves.

Gal. 6:2 2 Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.

Gal. 6:10 10 Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.
