As we were waiting in line for our turn to play tennis, Jordan and I recorded this episode. I finally got to listen to it back last night and edit it. I had realized that this would technically be the first episode of season 3 (21st episode) so I had to spend some time and come up with a new intro & outro; this one carries more poise with it while being fun. Also, shoutout to Adel for his Setar bits; his episode is actually the next:)
Anyway, this one was such a good feeling conversation full of the magic that Jordan has in his spirit. A strong sense of thoughtfulness and care. I'm grateful that we were able to document this moment in time. We talked about our backgrounds and how we met. The journey we had from childhood to where we are now. What we look forward to, etc.
As a married man, it was insightful to hear Jordan's story and experience. I realized the importance of ease. As we were talking, it seemed like even conflicts had a sense of ease to it. Meaning, even though unpleasant, there was this eminent sense of understanding and full trust that was bigger than any problem.
Jordan, as I mentioned in the pod, I'm so glad to call you and Taronay my friends. I'm sure you guys will be amazing parents. Hey, who knows, maybe there's a full circle moment years from now where we both watch them play soccer together:)
Much love,
Always your friend,
Pedram
