On today’s episode of Spooky B*tch Walk, Hannah tells Lainey about the stalking of Dave Kroupa and the murder of Cari Farver. In 2012, Dave was looking for a casual relationship so he went on the dating app, Plenty of Fish. This is how he met Liz Golyar and Cari Farver. He had only been seeing Cari for two weeks when she sent him a text saying they should move in together. Dave didn’t want to do this and when he told her that, he started receiving harassing messages from Cari. He never saw Cari again but he continued to receive texts and emails from her that became increasingly threatening over time. Liz started receiving these kinds of messages from Cari too. Cari even sent pictures to Dave of the inside of Liz’s house and burned Liz’s house with her pets inside.
After about three years of this stalking behavior, the dream team with the Pottawattamie County Sheriff’s Department (Jim Doty, Ryan Avis, and Tony Kava) cracks the case. And what they find will shock you.
Come along as Hannah and Lainey discuss hot chocolate, Christmas lights, and how to protect yourself against stalkers.
