Dr Mardge Cohen discusses the history of genocide rape in Rwanda, 1994, and the legacy for the HIV-positive women and girls that have survived. While the perpetrators of these crimes received appropriate care in prisons, the victims tragically did not. Dr. Cohen founded WE-ACT (Women's Equity in Access to Care and Treatment) which has extended its medical missions into Rwanda by opening clinics devoted to the care and treatment for these neglected women and children.
