Caring for Others When You Are Empty Inside

There are moments in life when you feel like you have nothing left to give. The weight of your own struggles, pain, or exhaustion leaves you feeling empty, as though you're running on fumes. Yet, in these moments, God calls us to care for others, to show kindness, and to extend love—often when we feel we have nothing left to offer.

When you're empty, God doesn't expect perfection. He simply calls you to show up with a willing heart. The Bible reminds us, "Love your neighbor as yourself" (Matthew 22:39). This love doesn't always require grand gestures. It might look like a kind word, a listening ear, or a simple act of service. It's in these small moments that God's strength becomes evident. His grace is sufficient for us, and His power is made perfect in our weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9).

If you're feeling empty, remember that God can fill you. He renews our strength when we feel weak (Isaiah 40:31). As you care for others, He will fill you with the love and strength you need, and in turn, He will pour out blessings on both you and those you serve.

Reach out, even in your emptiness, knowing that God is with you every step of the way.
