Born and raised in Simi Valley, California, Mexican-American actressCarla Jimenez cut her teeth in the entertainment industry from a youngage. After honing her talents in musical theater, Carlalanded herfirst professional job straight out of high school when she was castin a production of “South Pacific.” During this production she wasscouted by an agent and from there delved further into televisionacting where she discovered her true niche and comedic chops.Since her start in television, Carla Jimenez has brought incredibledepth to what could have been a tired stereotype. Throughout heracting career she has played six nurses, at least one maid, and threecharacters named 'Rosa' on sitcoms and films like ABC's "DesperateHousewives," FOX's "Raising Hope," NBC's "Last Man Standing,” “TheMindy Project, “Bones,” LADY IN THE WATER, ACCEPTED, and the comedyfilm NACHO LIBRE, among many others.
