Grace is a PhD candidate from the University of New South Wales, studying in the Centre for Marine Science and Innovation. With a grounding in marine ecology, Grace's research focuses on social ecological systems to help manage marine debris. Much of this work involves engaging with community science to foster environmental stewardship through education and outreach. Grace works with a variety of stakeholders, including government organisations, citizen scientists, not-for-profit organisations and First Nations Rangers. With an emphasis on science communication and engaging with interdisciplinary practice, Grace believes a collaborative approach is key to managing the marine debris crisis in Australia.
