Psalm 23 gets pulled out at funerals so often that most people miss what it's actually about. It's not a psalm for dying. It's a psalm for living right now, in the middle of whatever this week looks like.The imagery starts with a shepherd leading sheep through rough, dry terrain, not some peaceful green hillside, toward exactly what they need. Ever notice that every church service opens with music and always includes someone teaching from the same book, week after week?

What if baptism and the Lord's Supper aren't as confusing as they feel once someone finally explains them? That is a sign you are living in the right kingdom under the right King.
