Carrefour Group (Paris:CA) acquired Potager City, a Lyon, France-based online leader of fresh, seasonal fruit & vegetable boxes sourced from local producers.
Created by Yoann Alarçon, Potager City is a distributor of online subscription-based boxes of fresh and seasonal fruit & vegetables sourced via short distribution channels.
The company sells various fruit & vegetable boxes, delivered to pick-up points or to companies, together with menus to allow people to improve eating habits on a day-to-day basis.
To do this, the startup has developed a network of more than 750 local producers and partner fruit and vegetable growers and farmers.
The Carrefour Group is one of the world’s leading food retailers with a multi-format network of more than 12,000 stores in more than 30 countries. | To read full story, visit https://startuparound.com/read/1579602606.8655777/Carrefour-Buys-Potager-City?ref=audio_experience
