The destruction of idolatry is wrapped up in "dumbness". In time past their idols were dumb - they could not speak; however, the problem was worse. They did not have knowledge and understanding and now the Corinthians continue to show this dumbness by not having the godly knowledge and understanding concerning spiritual gifts. Josh Strelecki, Pastor-Teacher shows that manifestation alone doesn't indicate truth especially when some were saying Jesus is accursed supposedly by the Spirit of God.
