The New South Wales Police Force’s Family and Domestic Violence team has opened its case files to encourage victims to make reports to police. CONTROL with investigative journalist Adam Shand tells the story of how two women faced harrowing abuse from one man and they explain how he got away with it for so long. 

Episode 1: Cassie

Cassie meets an American named Connor on-line and after a whirlwind romance, he emigrates to Australia to be with her. Soon, the control and abuse begin but Cassie is ashamed to admit she has allowed an abusive man into her life. Crime journalist Adam Shand investigates.
