In this episode, we explore how a regional development bank collaborated with Datamatics to modernize government operations and establish eGovernance, aiming to enhance management and administrative efficiency. The bank faced challenges with undocumented processes and sought to renovate governmental workflows by leveraging information technology, similar to private sector practices. Datamatics conducted a comprehensive study of the existing 'AS-IS' processes through close interactions with users and process owners. This led to the definition of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and the development of a target 'To-Be' process flow within a paperless (eCabinet) model. The technical consultation encompassed detailed functional design, testing scenarios, system acceptance criteria, and security design based on global best practices. The successful launch of the system in July 2019 resulted in digital collaboration, allowing members to provide comments and votes electronically with digital signatures, even remotely. Additionally, the initiative minimized paper use by digitizing documents (excluding confidential ones) and achieved a 30% reduction in time taken for government sessions by utilizing digital process workflows.
