Since this is comparable to the Black Mirror series, I find it difficult to understand these critical remarks. With its fantastic world-building, this sci-fi, horror, and thriller series might be characterized as retro cyberpunk. The narrative is told from two points of view: the past, when the lady who created the AI was severely impacted by her husband and child; and the future family, who will live with her and become shocked and disbelieving as the AI begins to harm them. In the world of ex machina storylines, this is undoubtedly a breath of fresh air. It is unique and has the potential to become a cult series, in my opinion.
