Cassie Sexton joins us and shares her story of going from a grocery store into a life of law enforcement. She talks about working parking enforcement, in the city jail, as a dispatcher, and responding to a mass shooting incident early in her career. As the years went on Cassie would also have to deal with the loss of co-workers, including co-worker suicide, all while she was quietly considering suicide as a way of ending her own pain.  Eventually Cassie reached out for help, began to heal, and now uses her experiences as a way to help other first responders recover from trauma and improve their mental health.
