In December 2017, Kristen Roupenian’s life changed forever when her short story in The New Yorker went viral.
‘Cat Person’, which was published in The New Yorker‘s December 11 issue, navigates a brief relationship between a 20-year-old university student named Margot, and an older man – Robert – who she meets while working in a movie theatre candy bar.

It’s not a complex plot. But, like all the best pieces of fiction, it articulates aspects of life and culture in a way the rest of us have never quite been able to manage.
It resonated with millions of women around the world and was just before #MeToo really took off. But it also turned Kristen's life upside down.
So what does her life look like two years on? She joins Mia now...

Marian Keyes, one of the most successful authors in the world, has forgotten how to read three times.
Once when she fell into a pit of depression that lasted four years and nearly cost her her marriage and her life. Once at the start of Covid. And last year, after her father died. 

Marian joins Mia Freedman to reveal how she got through it, as well as how she let go of bitterness and grief that came with not being able to have children with her husband.

And despite thinking alcohol was the love of her life she’s managed to stay sober for 30 years. Why does she still call herself an alcoholic?

Tammy Hembrow is rich, famous and entirely self-made. At just 29, she has two thriving businesses worth an estimated $50m, three kids, two ex fiancés, she’s getting married in a few months to a man she insists is the love of her life.

Yes, back in 2018 she had an unfortunate incident at Kylie Jenner’s 21st that was a low point in her life. It was made far worse by the fact it was captured by paparazzi whose photos went viral.

James Foley’s death was unimaginable. He was a journalist held hostage by ISIS for two years in Syria and killed in 2014 as a threat to America. Footage of him wearing an orange jumpsuit, forcibly reading a message before being beheaded was posted to Twitter. The media coverage of the event had the second most recognition in recent American history after 9/11.

His mother Diane Foley’s determination to understand her son’s fate led her to meeting with one of the men responsible.

Annie is a 27-year-old Brisbane woman who makes her own sex content and sells it to subscribers via Only Fans where she is in the top 0.02% of creators on the platform.
Only Fans became wildly popular during the pandemic, with thousands of Australians creating accounts in the hope of converting home made content - usually sexually explicit photos and videos - into cash.
