Cathi Spooner, LCSW, RPT-S has been passionate about helping children, teens, and families overcome mental health challenges for almost 30 years. She's an advocate for helping communities strengthen their families because she believes that healthy families create healthy communities. Resiliency is key for strengthening families. She currently focuses on helping mental health professionals learn to confidently use play therapy and expressive arts with their young clients to become experts in their communities helping families to heal, with a special focus on neuroscience, attachment, and trauma. She is author of Attachment-Focused Family Play Therapy: An Intervention for Children and Adolescents After Trauma published by Routledge.
