Thousands of people die from drug addiction each year, which means that even more people know someone who struggles with addiction or has died from it. The Rewired Soul host Chris got clean from his opioid addiction on June 23, 2012, and today he talks with Charlotte Bismuth about her book Bad Medicine. Charlotte is a former prosecutor who helped take down one of New York's deadliest pill-pushing doctors. In this episode, we discuss some of the challenges we face with the opioid epidemic, Big Pharma, and what we can do about it.
