Catching up with the Carnegie Museum of Natural History!

There are lots of things going on at the Carnegie Museum of Natural History!
Director of the museum and Vice President of Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh, Gretchen Baker, talks with Jim Cunningham in this wide ranging interview. Gretchen is the first female director of the Carnegie Museum of Natural History. She previously was at the Field Museum in Chicago, and the Natural History Museums in LA.
Gretchen highlights some upcoming events at the museum this summer. The first is DinoFest on June 14th! Dino Fest is a family-friendly festival celebrating dinosaurs, and will include expert talks, and museum tours. During the event, the museum will also formally announce the naming of the Dinosaur Hall after Daniel and Carole Kamin, who have donated $25 million to renovate the hall. The couple has donated $90 million total to the museum over the years.
Gretchen also discusses the a new exhibit called "Uprooted: Plants Out of Place". This exhibit focuses on invasive plant species and their environmental impact.
You can see DinoFest on Saturday, June 14th from 10 am to 5 pm. "Uprooted" is now open for viewing!
