Catechesis on Trinity Thirteen 2019 (St. Luke 10:23-27)
On Wednesday nights, Trinity Lutheran Church (Herrin, IL) offers to both children and adults an opportunity for teaching with Learn-by-Heart at 6:30 PM and a catechetical service at 7:00.
In this video from September 4, 2019, we learned stanza 2 of “Wondrous King, All-Glorious” (The Lutheran Hymnal #41) and the ninth and tenth commandments with their meanings. This service is designed to prepare God’s people for the theme of the upcoming Sunday Divine Service. The dialog sermon explains “The Good Samaritan” (St. Luke 10:23-27), which is the Holy Gospel for Trinity Thirteen.
The service concludes with “Recite Word by Word.” [Length: 1 hour and 7 minutes]
