This week, we are super excited about introducing E L D R, who is the machination of solo artist and award-winning composer for film Marina Elderton.
Acclaimed by Wonderland Magazine for her "raw and unapologetic approach to tune crafting", her critically praised debut EP was supported by the PRS Women Make Music Foundation. A scholar from the National Film and Television School, her original film soundtrack credits include the BAFTA nominated Poly Styrene: I AM A CLICHE (Sky Arts/ Modern Films), Sudden Death: My Sister’s Silent Killer (BBC), Such Small Hands (Film4), and forthcoming feature ZERO (BBC Films/ BFI Films). She’s worked on Royal Television Society Award winning documentaries, internationally screened animations and shorts, as well as composing commercially for the likes of Vodafone, Rimmel, Cadburys, and Tesco. As a vocal advocate for women in the arts, she has spoken openly about the challenges of balancing a career in music with motherhood- as seen in her 'DIY reality series' ELDR:TV (soon to launch on web series platform SeekaTV). She is currently signed to BDi Music publishing and is a member of the Alliance for Women Film Composers.
This episode is hosted by Rachel Le Roux, a British-Filipina multidisciplinary fine artist and interior designer and the contributor to our upcoming Women United ART MAGAZINE.
