When you hear Cathy Grier play the blues on her guitar, and then hear her, sing her gritty soulful vocals, it underscores the poignancy of her hand written lyrics." She studied at Berklee College, and opened for the Band at the Lone Star Cafe, in New York City. Spent six years in France, and in 1991 Indra, a Carrere Artist hit #1 on the French dance chart, with an album Cathy had written. In 1995, London's "Time Out Magazine", called her music "Funkily melodic in a mature and assured style" Grier returned to New York City in 1995. In 2002 Grier released "Comin Back to Me", a Solo album. In November 2004, she performed at the Radio City Music Hall. Then Cathy became the New York City Subway Girl, as a registered Busker aothorized to play music in locations in the New York City Subway.
