Cathy was last seen in Portland, Maine, on September 24th 1971. Her father dropped her off downtown to run some errands before a dance she planned to attend that evening. She was seen by a friend at a local record store later that afternoon. The girls talked for a bit before Cathy said her goodbyes, telling her friend she was heading back home to shower before the dance, but Cathy never made it back that evening. She was reported missing a few hours later by her parents. There have been a few solid tips that point to Cathy being abducted from the area, but despite that, her case remains unsolved.
