After getting a letter from the US Attorney for possible check fraud charges and the personal shame that came with it, Joe Crouch decides there's only one thing he can do... murder his wife, Betsy, and flee the state. He creates a new identity and tries to blend in. But his old habits follow him and ultimately one thing brings him down... karaoke.
