The scribes and Pharisees  were tormented with envy by Jesus' righteousness. They sought often to trap Him in His words and yet Jesus knew how (and how not) to respond. As Jenna and Danielle unpack John chapter 8, the story of the woman caught in adultery, be encouraged as you meditate on how one by one, the woman’s accusers leave after Jesus responds in the way that he does. When no one is left to condemn her, Jesus indicates He also does not condemn her, then says, “Go, and from now on do not sin any more.” 

Jesus could have put the woman to death, but instead He forgave her and took her place on the cross to die for her sin.
