CB Interviews Liz Gutherie, MCEC Liz Guthridge is a coach, leadership development consultant and facilitator who’s known as a “breath of fresh air” to her clients.
Her focus is helping leaders adapt and grow and become more resilient for today’s VUCA (volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous) world.
She specifically concentrates on working with leaders to think differently, make intentional changes in their behavior, and create more inclusive, equitable workplaces. She supports a highly diverse range of leaders from a wide range of industries, both for-profit and non-profit.
Liz is a Master Corporate Executive Coach (MCEC) through the Association of Corporate Executive Coaches. She has extensive training and experience in applied neuroscience, change management, behavior design and communications. She is a graduate of Northwestern University (BSJ), University of Connecticut (MBA), and the University of Southern California (MA), and has an executive masters from the NeuroLeadership Institute.
Before starting her own coaching and consulting practice in the San Francisco Bay Area, Liz was a principal with three global change and HR consulting firms. She started her career with Amoco (now part of BP) in its corporate public and government affairs office.
Liz, her husband and their therapy dog Marcel are now based in Charleston, SC. Liz regularly speaks and writes on leadership issues. For the past three years, she’s blogged for Forbes. She also coaches MBA students for the College of Charleston and mentors seniors enrolled in an undergraduate business school class on organization design, behavior change and leadership.
