CC 106: Welcome to Mushroom March

Listen Later

In the latest episode of the Cured Collective Podcast, Joe kicks off Mushroom March by breaking down the three main types of mushrooms and how to incorporate each type in your daily life. Mushrooms are typically broken down into one of the following categories: culinary, functional (also known as medicinal), and psychedelic.

What often distinguishes one mushroom from another is the specific effect it produces in the body, and perhaps even how edible it is. For example, portobello mushrooms would be great for dinner tonight, but psilocybin probably won’t go with your roast chicken.

Throughout Mushroom March, we’ll continue to share educational (and entertaining) resources to help foster your love for fungi. It’s no surprise: we believe functional mushrooms are a cornerstone of true health and well-being. This month, our mission is to convince you of the same!

Have a question about mushrooms? Send us an email and we’ll be happy to help.

“We as a human race, as a human species, have a neural network in our brain eerily similar to the mycelium, the root system of fungi.” – Joseph Sheehey
