Christ is risen! He is risen indeed!
Today, as we wrap up our journey through Mark’s gospel with a message from Mark 16 1-8 on this glorious Easter Sunday, Joe takes us to the King.
The kingdom of God can be defined as ‘the King’s power over the King’s people in the King’s place’. This means there are three criteria:
Power – The rule and reign of Christ
People – of God
Place – The people of God, as the temple of God, on the Earth (1 Cor. 3:16).
The heavens, where God is seated on the His throne.
The fully established place of the kingdom of God that will come at Jesus' return.
The power (reign) of the King is coming
This reign is coming over a people.
And His reign will be established in and over a place.
