At 12. September 1981, the CCC was founded, in Berlin. On the occasion of the 40th anniversary we want to create a video with as many members, teams and spaces as possible sending their birthday wishes to the CCC.

It would be great if you would participate.

For this just send us your greetings. We combine them with the other wishes to the final video.

It would be brilliant if you would send us an actual video. But if necessary we can also deal with audio files or short texts (to be read out). In this case we would like to get an image as your avatar as well.

If you send us a video, please include a spoken "Happy Birthday".

Please send your greetings until 20th of August 2021!

Here some ideas for a more individual greeting:

  • What did you learn from/by/via the ccc? what did the ccc teach you?
  • Your most awsome / rememberable memory about the ccc? (an artifact? a sticker?)
  • How old were you when you did your first hack?
  • How many friends did you lose through the CCC? How many did you gain?
  • CCC in 3 words that don't start with a "c"?
  • MEME question:
    • what do your friends think you're doing at the ccc?
    • what do your parents think you're doing at the ccc?
    • what do YOU think you're doing at the ccc?

      • Technical details:

      • "Happy Birthday" spoken: 3-5 sek
      • optional an additional custom-made greeting: 30-60 sek
      • if you want to send somehting longer, that would be great, but we would need to plan this in advance. In this case please contact us via [email protected]

        • Before you record yourself, here's some tech hints:

        • Video would be awesome, but we can use audio only in a pinch
        • Or be creative in another way if you don't want to be seen
        • Use a somewhat recent smartphone in selfie video mode
        • Give the lens a wipe before you record
        • Look for decent light, try to avoid pointing your back at a window
        • It'll help us if the room is on the quiet side
        • You can help us by giving the video file(s) proper names
        • Once you're done, please drop the video at drop.c3news.show

          • As file format just use what your device provides you. Or, if you want to be precise: H.264/1080p

          Optional: Add a .txt file for additional comments like a name with which we can credit your contribution or translations.
