C2E June 2011 Vol2

Well the part about having enough tracks for two June mixes was true. Having the time to release them both in June wasn't. Still the mix is here now and that's the main thing. This mix is very different to most C2E mixes, this one is all grown up, deep, tribal and on the whole, pretty well behaved. You can tell it's going to be when you see the artists, Black Coffee, Vega, Atjazz, Josh Milan, Rocco and Mr McCabe. We open with an Atjazz remix of "Chasing" before moving into Vega's superb mix of Black Coffees "We Are One". Juju comes up with a mad laid back vibe on "My Personal Healer". The next track "First To Say Goodbye" has been around a while but this is the first mix that's provided a platform to play it. We stay with Tribe records for another slice of Tribal beats with "Banane Mavoka". RAW Artistic Soul keep things deep with their mix of "I Love The Night". Atjazz returns next with his twisted take on Anane Vegas "Plastic People" which has to be the biggest remix package ever seen. Osunlade lightens the mood slightly with "I'm Happy". Spen gets in on the act with a mix of "Stay With Me" by the legend that is Josh Milan. The next track "Ghetto People" is giving me big goosebumps at the moment, has an old Quentin Harris feel to it, great work by Guy Robin on the remix. Next we have the return of a classic from May 2011. Josh Milan's "Your Body". It's an Afghan Hound of a track so needs the chance to get out and really stretch it's legs, which it couldn't do on the May mix when we just let it out in the back yard. The next track is as crazy as we go on this mix. Tornado Wallace throws up a big fat funky mix of "Into The Night". We ease out of the mix with Sean McCabe's ever reliable touch, this time it's Miss Tucker and Su'Su Bobien on the receiving end with "Care Free". The last track is a real beauty all the way from Brasil. The BSC did a great job on You & Me, a genuine sunset track. The heads out there may recognise Moodymanns "On The Run" lurking in the background right at the end. No rest for the wicked, I'm off to get the July mix ready.
