I loved the charming details in both the story and the illustrations. The chapter heading designs are particularly entrancing. Young girls will identify with Cecile's feelings and little Lily's spunk. The funny spider illustrations are even appealing for spider-phobes, as well as the notion of fashion-minded spiders sharing web patterns and lace designs. I also liked the fact that the heroine saved her well-intentioned prince charming. A good read, and I'm looking forward to sequels.

While reading the "Mystic Heroine Adventure Series" I fell in love with strong and inspiring Cecile. But when I listened to the audio of "Cecile and The Spider Queen" the entire adventure became even more delightful. The reader's voice made Cecile come alive. The audible version created vivid visions in my mind of this mystical little girl and her magical kingdom. How lucky are the young girls who will read this book! They will find brave and illuminating messages to help guide their challenges in life. Great listening and an all around wonderful literary journey. Brava!

A marvelous tale of adventure and lost identity...but will it have a happy outcome? A must hear children's story by a author/artist Marilyn Churchill. The voices of the narrator are amusing and captivating. I may not be a child but I say three thumbs up!
