During Kiribati Language Week 2020 we will highlight some of the incredible members of our Kiribati community across N.Z. This morning, we’re joined by Tekatau Bio, a solicitor with the firm Carlie Dowling in Hawkes Bay. 

Tau, the eldest of six children, whose family come from Marakei and Tarawa in Kiribati, arrived in NZ when she was two years old, and has lived in a number of places throughout New Zealand. She began her legal career in Hamilton, concentrating on Care of Children and Family Violence proceedings. She joined Carlile Dowling in December 2019 as part of the Family Law team & also works with the Immigration team. Tau has a passion for immigration law & advocacy, & is a Supervised Legal Aid Provider. Tau joins us now from Hawkes Bay.
