In the 75th anniversary year of Peanuts, host Jimmy Mac welcomes Jason and Sean Mendelson, sons of legendary producer Lee Mendelson, who revolutionized Peanuts specials by bringing jazz icon Vince Guaraldi on board to create unforgettable soundtracks.
Jason and Sean share childhood memories of voicing beloved characters, stories of working alongside their father and animator Bill Melendez, and the discovery of pristine 50- to 60-year-old master tapes during the pandemic—previously unheard music now remastered and released for fans and audiophiles alike.
On July 11, they’ll launch the 50th anniversary soundtrack of You’re a Good Sport, Charlie Brown—the first time fans can hear the full score without dialogue, available on CD, digital, and a groundbreaking 12” 45 RPM Zoetrope Eco Mix LP Picture Disc that brings the characters to life on the spinning vinyl.
