Let's celebrate Leslie Ware, PA-C, MEd, the CEO of Alpha Health & Wellness, DPC.
Alpha Health & Wellness, DPC is a direct primary care practice in Charlotte, North Carolina, Leslie Ware is an Internal and Family Medicine Physician Assistant and Health Educator with over 25 years experience in both treating chronic diseases with emphasis in hypertension, diabetes and cardiovascular disease, obesity, stress management and in community and worksite health promotion.
Her interest in health and medicine began with her experience as a veteran of the United States Air Force Reserves while working in a medical service technician. She enjoys patient care, health promotion and education.
She currently serves as Adjunct Professor in the Dept of Physician Assistant Studies at Lenoir Rhyne University PA Program and has interest in health care pipeline development. She has served on the North Carolina Diabetes Advisory Council, Nebraska Diabetes Advisory Council and the HRSA Health Disparities Chronic Disease Collaborative. She has been a speaker for Novartis Pharmaceutical’s hypertension division, and has been a Medical Services/Quality Improvement Coordinator, Provider Champion and Patient Flow Task Force Chair for Federally Qualified Community Health Centers. In 2018, she was awarded the Cafe Mocha Radio Salute Her “Champion for Change” award as well as The National Action Network‘s Best PA Award.
