JIMMY YOUNG aka "THE REAL JIMMY YOUNG" was born and raised in Mount Vernon, N.Y.---JIMMY started his musical journey as an R& B singer in the early 80's. He released his first single entitled "TIMES ARE TIGHT" IN 1983. The song was a "TOP 20" dance hit in the U.K. It climbed up to 13 on the RECORD MIRROR magazine Dance Chart.--JIMMY was also interviewed on the JOE FRANKLIN T.V. SHOW in New York promoting his record.  His next single, "TWENTY-FOUR SEVEN" (24/7) was released in 1984 also in the U.K. with moderate success, produced by JIMMY YOUNG and RON NEMBHARD on STREETWAVE RECORDS.. From 1987 onward, JIMMY'S voice began to appear on record after record by many Gold and Platinum artists.
